Why I Built Business & Brand Intelligence

Tracy Clinscales

Founder

I didn’t build Business & Brand Intelligence because I thought business owners needed more advice.

I built it because I knew what it felt like to need answers.

I know what it feels like to have an idea you genuinely believe in.

To spend weeks, months, sometimes years building something. To create the website, develop the product or service, make the content, post on social media, tell people about it — and wait for the business to finally start moving.

“

And then it doesn’t.

I’ve been that business owner.

I’ve tried building businesses on my own. I’ve spent money I really didn’t have to waste on things I hoped would finally make the difference, without truly knowing whether I was fixing the right problem.

And I know how disheartening that can become.

Because eventually, you start asking yourself:

The questions that start creeping in

Is my idea just not good enough?

Is my product the problem?

Do people even want what I’ve created?

But sometimes a business simply may not have enough information yet to answer those questions.

Reaching customers and growing sales is one of the most common challenges small businesses face, and many businesses close within their first several years.

Behind those numbers are real people.

People who believed in something.

People who invested their savings, evenings, weekends, creativity, and hope into trying to make it work.

And I can’t help but wonder how many good ideas never had the opportunity to reach enough of the right people for the owner to truly understand their potential.

When a business isn’t working, there is no shortage of advice:

You’ve probably heard some of it

Run more ads.

Post more.

Change your website.

Lower your price.

Get on another platform.

Create more content.

Spend more money.

“

You don’t need another guess.
You need clarity.

You need to understand:

The questions that actually matter

What is actually working?

What isn’t?

Are people finding you?

Are they finding you but not buying?

Is the problem your offer, your positioning, your customer journey, your operations — or something completely different?

That’s why I created Business & Brand Intelligence.

I wanted to build the kind of service I wish I’d had — a place where a business owner could stop throwing solutions at an unidentified problem and first get a clearer picture of the business as a whole.

Because your business may represent far more than a product, service, or website.

It may represent your independence. Your family’s future. A second chance. A dream you’ve carried for years. Or simply the hope that everything you’ve poured into it can become something sustainable.

I can’t promise that every business or every idea will succeed.

But I do believe business owners deserve the opportunity to make decisions based on evidence and understanding instead of continuing to spend their limited time, energy, and money guessing.

Before you give up on what you’ve built — or spend more money trying to save it — let’s understand what your business is actually telling us.

That’s why I built B&BI.
